Pediatric Therapies

From his time early in his career with his pediatric patients, Galen soon realized that there was quite a large amount of diagnoses and problems he could not fix with the conventional tools he got from his training as a PT and from continuing education in Neuro Developmental Treatment or Sensory Processing.  So, he went exploring, taking and learning holistic manual therapy based programs such as the Visceral and Neuro Manipulation curriculum from the Barral Institute or the Lymphatic and Brain series from the Chikly Institute.  These widened his understanding of the body, how it falls into dysfunction and also to assist to bring it back to health.   This has profoundly changed how he approaches his patients and the tools he employs to return them back to healthy and strong mobility.  He is among very few practioners who applies these techniques to children.

Performance Movement

From his time with the children, he has a deep understanding in the how humans develop movement patterns from birth that serve as foundations of movement throughout the lifetime.  As he has spent time working with adults, he has noted that many of the movement patterns challenges and compensations both adults and children face and make are very similar along the entirety of the lifespan.  Patterning of the movement is an intricate dance between the neurological and musculoskeletal systems.
